Yesterday's
World got into the spirit of Christmas with the openin g of
a Winter Wonderland on Thurs 9 Dec to raise money for St
Michael's Hospice. The children's play village and gardens
were transformed into a magical snow scene with fairy
lights, reindeer and a karaoke Father Christmas!
Hundreds of families came along to meet Santa in
his Winter Grotto and join in the fun with Arrow
FM's festive disco and the 304 Squadron ATC
Marching Band. Roast chestnuts, mulled wine and
mince pies were enjoyed by all and the evening raised a
total of £257.56 for charity.
Unfortunately Santa's Little Helpers, The Cheeky
Girls, were unable to attend the event due to filming
commitments but instead sent up a black cab from London
with 100 copies of their new Christmas single, 'Boys &
Girls Christmas Time Love.'
If you are a 'cheeky' fan and would like a CD and
signed postcard, simply come along to Yesterday's
World and get your copy for £1.00 while stocks
last. All proceeds from will be donated to St Michael's
Hospice.
