Located in a beautiful 15th century medieval hall house with over 100,000 artefacts, a trip to Yesterday's World takes visitors on magical journey through time.

For many it evokes fond nostalgic memories of a gentler time in comparison to today's fast-paced modern world.

  • Vividly recreated displays
  • See, hear, smell and experience different periods of the past

We regret that Yesterday's World will be closed for group visits from 1st -21st January 2007 whilst the shop undergoes refurbishment.

*We are currently offering 20% off museum admissions whilst the outdoor attractions are closed for development. The minimum number of people for group visits is 15.

There are plenty of interesting boutiques to browse around in Battle High Street as well as the popular Farmer’s Market, which is held on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9am - 1pm. The 12th century church of St Mary the Virgin is well worth a visit where you can see a magnificent Romanesque nave, rare 14th Century wall paintings and the stunning Senlac commemorative stain glass window.

"We would like to thank you for a wonderful visit to Yesterday's World. Our kids enjoyed a look at the way we used to live: no computer games, no television, radio in its infancy, the coins - in fact everything from what we used to eat, to the way we lived then."
Mrs Edwards, Rudgwick, West Sussex
