An immersive theatrical experience set amongst 20,000 sq feet, across 2 floors of historical displays!
Every Wednesday and Saturday evening throughout August, Yesterday’s World will host a brand new entertainment experience known as ‘Two Hearts’ - a unique Murder Mystery immersive theatrical experience, set across two floors of the museum, with interactive live actors who will help guests on the evening to discover hidden clues to solve the crime.
Expect, the unexpected!
The evenings will begin in the Victorian Tea Room, where you’ll enjoy a Victorian style buffet and drink mingling with live actors who are in on the plot. You’ll be given an action plan and notes suggesting clues to look out for and whom to hand them to within our attraction, where actors will interact divulging crucial information. The event will crescendo with a final scene acted out to reveal the answer.

The main reason Yesterday’s World decided to embark on Murder Mystery events was down to feedback from both residents and tourists. It’s felt that there isn’t much alternative entertainment on offer in Great Yarmouth other than the pubs, bars and theatres etc. - We’re aiming to feel that void!

Back Story to Two Hearts
It is 1875. The town of Great Yarmouth is a busy port and a thriving hub of human activity. Traders fill the streets daily selling all kinds of wares. The population grows everyday. Tall ships dot the horizon, sails billowing in the summer breeze. It is a swarming town of many characters and faces; different trades and occupations clamour for business in the tight streets. Fish mongers and iron merchants, sweet shops and tobacconists, carpenters and horse traders, policeman, rug merchants…the beer halls ring with the sound of music and the pubs ache with the throng of the summer reveller, quickly enjoying the new ‘holiday’ experience away from the foggy towns. Girls are seen arm in arm with young men, children dart like schools of fish. All is alive and bright.
But there is vice in this world…and there is darkness.
Each character that you meet hides a secret. Can you deduce who is the murderer and how they did it? Listen to them closely and take notes. They all have something to hide but only one is the killer.
