forthcoming museum attraction officially opened its doors to the public on Friday 25 May
2007.
Yesterday's World, Great Yarmouth is set to become one of the best loved
family attractions and places to go in the East of England.

British history in a spectacular recreation of olden day times.
Enjoy a traditional English clotted cream tea served by our friendly
staff, dressed in authentic looking Victorian costume.

Yesterday's World has been inspired by the success of its
sister attraction in Battle,
East Sussex. The award-winning attraction was originally created by
husband and wife team, Brian and Annette Buckley, and was born from a love of
nostalgia and collecting old memorabilia.
The collection in Battle has grown to 100,000+ artefacts,
exhibited in vividly recreated displays that include a Victorian Kitchen,
1930s grocers, pawnbrokers, ironmongery and many more. In
2002 it won Tourism South East's 'Visitor Attraction of the Year' in the England
for Excellence awards and now has 5 floors of attractions on display in a
charming 600 year old hall-house and state of the art exhibition centre.
