Based in the historic 1066 Country town of
Battle,
East Sussex, Yesterday’s World is an ideal place to bring
overseas students
and visitors who wish to learn more about British
history.
Our award-winning social history museum
tells a charming story of life in the days of Queen
Victoria right up to the 1950s and is ideal
place to visit for
groups of all ages.
Located in a beautiful 15th century medieval hall
house and packed with authentic artefacts, sounds
and smells, a trip to Yesterday's World takes
you on magical journey through a series of
vividly recreated displays, which allow
you to touch, taste and experience different periods
of the past.
Discovery sheets are available upon your
arrival in French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, German
and Russian to help you make the most of your visit.

Trips
Why not make the most of your time in Battle
and visit Battle Abbey where the famous
Battle
of Hastings was fought in 1066? For
groups of 13 or more.

We regret that Yesterday's World will be closed for group visits from
1st -21st January 2007 whilst the shop
undergoes refurbishment.
All visits must be pre-booked in advance

We will send confirmation of your booking to bring with you on the
day.
Payment methods
Visits should be paid for on the day or in
advance in British Pound Sterling. We accept
Mastercard, Visa, Solo, Switch, Maestro and
American Express cards or a cheque made payable
to 'Yesterday's World Limited.'
Students must be supervised by
a responsible adult at all times. You are
advised to check the availability of operational
facilities prior to your visit.
