The Broads Museum was first established here in 1976 and has
grown over the years into the largest in the area. Some sections are not
comparable to anywhere else in the U.K., notably the Tobacco
Museum, which has achieved national importance.
The collections were started by Marian and Chris
Nunn in 1959, who then went on to found the museum in 1976, sadly
Marian died in 1994. The museum is still expanding with new areas and
displays being added each winter.
