AWARDS & ACCOLADES FOR TEA ROOM

Award 200pxOur now UK famous tea room has just been awarded in March 2010 Cafe/Tea Room of the Year by Greater Yarmouth Tourism Authority. It’s a fantastic achievement and we’re very proud to have won it.

On the back of that we’ve just been mentioned in the The Times with a listing in the 50 Best Places to Eat by the Sea - this is no mean feat with the amount of competition across the UK!

The list is compiled using feedback from famous food critics such as Tom Parker Bowles, Rick Stein and Oliver Peyton among others who praise their favourite spots to grab a bite to eat.

The Victorian tea room at Yesterday’s World was praised in the listings for its ‘huge helpings of scones with jam and clotted cream’. The news coincides with the main launch of their traditional teas which celebrate the great British institution of the J Lyons & Co tea rooms.

Waitresses serve the customers in ‘Nippy’s traditional black and white costume to bring together Yesterday’s World as a visitor attraction and the tea room as a complete experience.
