Yesterday’s World Earns 2013 TripAdvisor
Certificate of Excellence
Honoured as a Top Performing Visitor Attraction as Reviewed by Travellers on the World’s Largest Travel Site
Yesterday’s World, Great Yarmouth today announced that it has received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence award. The accolade, which honours hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide. Only the top-performing 10 per cent of businesses listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award.
To qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor, and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.
“Yesterday’s World is pleased to receive a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence,” said Richard Ross, General Manager . “We strive to offer our customers a memorable experience, and this accolade is evidence that our hard work is translating into positive reviews on TripAdvisor.”

Our now UK famous tea room has just been awarded in March 2010 Cafe/Tea Room of the Year by Greater Yarmouth Tourism Authority. It’s a fantastic achievement and we’re very proud to have won it.
On the back of that we’ve just been mentioned in the The Times with a listing in the 50 Best Places to Eat by the Sea - this is no mean feat with the amount of competition across the UK!
The list is compiled using feedback from famous food critics such as Tom Parker Bowles, Rick Stein and Oliver Peyton among others who praise their favourite spots to grab a bite to eat.
The Victorian tea room at Yesterday’s World was praised in the listings for its ‘huge helpings of scones with jam and clotted cream’. The news coincides with the main launch of their traditional teas which celebrate the great British institution of the J Lyons & Co tea rooms.
Our third accolade recently is featured in the May issue EDP Norfolk’s Top 10. We’d like to thank all our customers and visitors who have voted for us and are very proud to receive all these awards and accolades.
